Mustard is known for its distinctive flavour, and serves as an excellent source of protein. Its origins go back to as early as the Hellenistic and Roman eras. Primarily used as a food ingredient, mustard also acts as a stabilizer, a preservative, a binder and an antioxidant. Mustard is used in mayonnaise, salad dressings, sauces, seasonings, coatings, and of course traditional prepared mustard. Canada exports 50% of the world’s mustard demand, of which 80% is produced in Saskatchewan. Our processing facility is located in Dafoe, Saskatchewan, in the heart of the main mustard growing region.
