BroadGrain opens state of the art West African-based specialty crop processing facility

<p class="text-heading">January 5, 2016</p><p>Toronto, Ontario / Kano, Nigeria - BroadGrain Commodities Inc., is pleased to announce that its Nigerian subsidiary, BroadGrain Africa Ltd., has completed construction of a processing facility located in Kano, Nigeria. The new site will be focused primarily on sesame seed processing, along with other local crops including ginger and hibiscus.</p> <p>The newly constructed facility in the Dawanua region of Kano will provide receiving, cleaning capacity, shipping and storage for approximately 30,000 MTS annually.</p> <p>The sophisticated flow enhancements will allow for raw product after each stage to be either stored or further processed providing optimal shipping options. The facility is equipped with state of the art air screens, gravity separators, de-stoners and color sorters resulting in quality standard products.
