Our facility can handle non-flowing material such as soybean meal, canola meal, Dried Distiller's Grains with Solubles (DDGS), and other by-products through its special reclaimer silos, which can store and load non-flowing product safely and efficiently at maximum speeds of 250 metric tonnes per hour.
The rail receiving pit is continuously upgraded and currently feeds two 250 metric tonnes per hour elevators, allowing the terminal to unload rail cars at approximately 500 metric tonnes per hour.
BroadGrain's terminal facility can handle 30 car units on its own rail siding which is serviced by a shortline that can take cars from the Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Railway. This gives the terminal access to railcars to and from all of North America. The rail is equipped with an advanced scale that allows for BroadGrain to receive and ship product using Measurement Canada certified weights. The loading system is also equipped with a high-tech automatic sampler which meets the standards set by the Canadian Grain Commission.
