Each year, Canada produces roughly 6–7 million metric tons of soybeans, with Ontario contributing about 60–65% of the total national crop.
Within Ontario’s soybean production, approximately 25–30% are Non-GMO food-grade varieties, grown under Identity-Preserved (IP) programs for the Asian specialty food industry. These Non-GMO soybeans are prized for their uniform white hilum color, high protein content, and consistent quality — making Canadian origin a preferred choice for buyers in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.
BroadGrain operates two dedicated Non-GMO Soybean and IP soybean facilities in Brinston, Ontario (Eastern Ontario) and Seaforth, Ontario (Southwestern Ontario) — both situated in the heart of the province’s soybean-growing belt.
Each facility features dedicated IP handling lines, Buhler color-sorting machinery, and FSSC 22000-certified quality programs, ensuring purity, consistency, and traceability from contracted farms to export shipment.
